Accidents we identified as being most significant tend to fall into one or more of the categories listed below. We just feel these had a greater awareness among the general public or impacted the problem in some way more significantly than those not listed. Yes, we know many propeller accidents caused tremendous struggles and grief but are not listed below. A few will remain, like those on the list from the distant past. Over time, some of those will fade away in the public’s memory to be replaced by future accidents. Our list of high profile propeller accidents is obviously heavily loaded with more recent accidents. A few non-recreational accidents were listed due to their extensive coverage in the press.
